Whenever this 5 feet 8 inch lanky frame appears be it

and talented; and has played in big hit films. Now you are close to a hint!
She is none other than Deepika Padukone, a very rare combination of beauty and talent.
She is none other than Deepika Padukone, a very rare combination of beauty and talent.
Seven years and she mesmerized us with her power packed performances in
Love Aaajkal, Cocktail, Raamleela and Race. Let’s have a look how Deepika has
made a mark in showbiz
Born to ace badminton player, Prakash Padukone and Ujjala
in 1986 in Denmark, Deepika celebrated her 1st birthday in India.
She went to Sophia High School and Mount Carmel College. Meanwhile, her
childhood was tilted to games: Basketball and Badminton. The latter brought her
to the national level championships. According to an interview given to the
Times of India, she stated, “I
would wake up at five in the morning, go for physical training, go to school,
again go for playing badminton, finish my homework and go to sleep."
Now her routine is enough to tell you why she is so industrious.
She loved to play badminton but destiny had other plans.
She decided to go for glamour world and her debut was the TV ad for Liril soap.
People saw her on a runway for the first time in 2005 at the Lakme Fashion Week
and the next year saw her grabbing the title of “Model of the Year”. This is
rarely happen, a model and no temptation for Bollywood. Deepika is not an
exception and was featured in “Naam Hai Tera” by Himest Reshmmiya. She also
enrolled in Anupam Kher’s film institution to hone her acting skills. Her debut
on the silver screen was a Kannada film, Aishwarya in 2006. But the major
breakthrough was yet to come! She made her Bollywood debut with Om Shanti Om
opposite Shahrukh Khan in 2007. The film was blockbuster and enough to establish
her in Hindi film industry. The upcoming years was not so successful for her
and did highlight her break up with Ranveer Kapoor than her performances. A
flop in line was made dim the image of Shanti from the mind of people; she stood
on the verge of collapse. Though she was the part of the successful films like
Love Aajkal, her performances were overlapped by “hero”.
Deepika Padukone made a comeback with Cocktail in 2012,
one of the biggest hits of the year. She was looking determined and gorgeous
than before. The other good news came in the last of 2012, when Race 2 clinched
over 100 crore. The next year, 2013 marked her three hits in a row like Yeh
Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and Goliyon ki Raasleela-Ram Leela. But
the jackpot was hidden in 2014, when Happy New Year was one of the biggest hits
of all time in Hindi Cinema.
Her superb performances are the answer to those who think
she is nothing more than a glam doll. We say all the best to her for her
upcoming titles like Piku, Bajirao Mastani and Tamasha. We hope she don’t stop
amazing us.
